Help, its cold!

Why your skin is freaking out








For those of us that live in dryer climates, or colder climates where the heat is on high indoors, winter can mean uncomfortable skin. Here is a  helpful tip to minimize discomfort and shine in the cold! 
-Don't take hot showers. I know that everyone says this, but when you are coming inside from temperatures of 1 degree (yes, that is an actual temperature), how great does it feel to heat up in a steamy shower? While not the best option for your skin, here is how you can make it work. Steam dries out your skin, as steam is a higher temperature, and high temps evaporate moisture. However, steam also opens pores, why else would they use it during facials? 
So, use this to your advantage and apply toners, serums, and moisturizers right when you get out of the shower, while pores are still open and can absorb all the lovely nutrients and moisturizers you put on your skin.
